Role Overview
At Pradako Mechanical & Engineering Works, people are at the heart of everything we build. As an HR Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations across recruitment, onboarding, attendance, statutory compliance, and employee engagement—ensuring smooth workforce management at both plant and head office levels.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist in posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews for factory and office roles.
- Support new hire onboarding processes including document collection, ID issuance, and orientation sessions.
- Maintain up-to-date candidate databases and joiner trackers.
Attendance & Payroll Support
- Monitor daily attendance through biometric or manual registers.
- Coordinate with contractors for shift records, overtime tracking, and leave data consolidation.
- Assist the accounts/payroll team in salary processing inputs.
HR Documentation & Filing
- Maintain employee records – personal files, contracts, bank details, Aadhar/PAN, etc.
- Ensure documentation for contract workers and compliance with labour law requirements.
- Assist in audit readiness for ISO, IATF, and government inspections.
Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Support HR in organizing safety trainings, birthday celebrations, skill-building workshops, and suggestion schemes.
- Handle employee grievances, escalate issues where necessary, and maintain employee trust and confidentiality.
- Maintain discipline registers and notices on the shopfloor in coordination with supervisors.
Compliance & Reporting
- Help in maintaining statutory registers (ESIC, PF, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.).
- Assist with HR-related MIS, headcount reporting, and exit formalities.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic HR software.
- Understanding of labour compliance and factory HR processes.
- Good interpersonal skills, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
