Role Overview

At Pradako Mechanical & Engineering Works, logistics is not just about transportation—it’s about ensuring every fastener reaches the right place, on time, and in perfect condition. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Executive / Coordinator to manage end-to-end logistics for domestic and export operations.

Key Responsibilities
Dispatch Coordination
  • Plan and schedule dispatches for both domestic deliveries and export shipments as per production and customer timelines.
  • Coordinate with packing, stores, and dispatch teams for shipment readiness and container loading.
  • Handle documentation for transport including challans, packing lists, invoices, e-way bills, and customs forms.
Transport & Freight Management
  • Liaise with transporters, courier partners, shipping lines, and CHA agents for timely pick-up and delivery.
  • Ensure cost-effective routing, mode selection (road, sea, air), and freight negotiation.
  • Monitor vehicle movements, maintain PODs (proof of delivery), and resolve any transit-related issues.
Export Logistics
  • Coordinate with the export documentation team for container planning, vessel booking, and timely gate-in at ports (Nhava Sheva, Mundra, etc.).
  • Track BL, AWB, and other international shipping documents; manage loading plans and packaging configurations.
  • Follow up on LCL/FCL movements, carton marking, and country-specific documentation norms.
Tracking & Reporting
  • Maintain daily tracking logs for all shipments and communicate updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Generate MIS reports on freight costs, transit time, transporter performance, and delivery SLAs.
  • Maintain logistics KPIs and support in process improvements, freight audits, and vendor evaluations.
Coordination & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, and internal SOPs.
  • Assist in customs clearance coordination and smooth handovers for export container movement.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong command of logistics systems and documentation (ERP, TMS preferred).
  • Basic understanding of HS codes, and port operations.
  • Experience in handling automotive/engineering goods is highly desirable.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and time management skills.
