About the Role

At Pradako Mechanical & Engineering Works, precision and consistency in production define our leadership in fastener manufacturing. We are looking for a proactive and technically sound Production Engineer with experience in cold forging, rolling, and secondary machining processes. The ideal candidate must be familiar with machine operations, daily planning, manpower management, and quality compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities
Daily Production Management
  • Plan and execute daily production schedules as per dispatch commitments and shift-wise targets.
  • Monitor machine utilization, downtime analysis, and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Ensure optimal manpower deployment and on-shift supervision across lines.
Machine & Tooling Knowledge
  • Operate and oversee production on machines such as:
    • Indian Make Cold Formers
    • Hatebur
    • Nedschroef
    • SACMA
    • SASPI
    • National
    • China / Taiwan Make Machines
  • Coordinate with the tooling team for punch/die replacement, finger setting, trimming, and rolling operations.
Process Control & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO/IATF) and maintain first-piece and in-process inspection protocols.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for rejection and rework issues.
  • Drive 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continual improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain shift reports, downtime logs, rejection analysis, and production registers.
  • Coordinate with the planning, quality, and maintenance departments for smooth production flow.
  • Track consumables usage and support cost-saving initiatives.
Preferred Candidate Attributes
  • Hands-on experience with cold forming or multi-station headers.
  • Exposure to fastener standards and automotive quality systems.
  • Basic understanding of tool setting, SPC, and mechanical measurements.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and production software (ERP or shop floor automation tools).
